If it isn’t possible to extend or restyle your house, an alternative is to build a detached living space in the garden.

The options are endless, from a small garden office to a complete granny annexe. In my portfolio are garden rooms and garden offices that I have designed for clients who wanted more living or working space, without having to move house.

The building below was designed and built for a client who wanted a music room, home cinema and gym  to escape from his grandchildren.

Garden Office

Below are before and after shots of one of my favourite garden office projects. My client, an accountant, had a cold damp shed in his garden that was rotting away. He wanted a a building that looked similar but was warm and dry and could be used as an office, all year round.

Before: Leaky, un-insulated 1930’s shed

After: 21st century, highly insulated and double glazed office.
